Default Has anyone installed a high top roof on their van?

I'm looking at adding a high top roof on my 07 Express and was curious if anyone has done this and get any feedback on it. Here is an example of what I am looking at. 20? Aerodynamic Tops I'm sure it has it's drawbacks with regards to crosswinds and fuel mpg but I wanted to see how much of an effect it has on those two items.

I just bought a van with a high roof - so I can only partially comment
I have noticed some pull from crosswinds usually at high speeds; not enough to feel unsafe but definitely refocused my hands at 10 to 2

That said my van has a wheelchair lift in it, so the weight is not well balanced
It is in the shop right now getting the lift pulled out - I will report back if I notice a difference with less weight on the passenger side. Those things are heavy, man.

Can't really comment on the gas mileage

I'm 61 now and it was a big thing back in the day when I first started working for a Chevrolet dealer in the 70's.
They even had me run vans over to some specialty shop that did van conversions.

I think any loss of gas mileage will be minimal, with the aerodynamic design on the front part.
The wind should follow the windshield up and over without any problems.
But like you and Sean said. You might have a slight issue with some cross winds at times.
I sure know we do at times with one of these. GRIN

Are you also planning to open up, remove, the center section of the metal roof?
