check the tps sensor with a multimeter, your scan might read 0 for the tps , but the inside tracks might be worn,, voltage should be increasing while opening the tps between the ground wire and signal, if you test the sensor it should not jump volts while in a fixed position. sometimes simpler is better. . if you find the tps sensor is bad and need changing and the reeving stops after you do, but you still stall, open the tbody valve 0.1 degress, id say 0.5,, but focus on the tps sensor first. y

Thank you, I’ll double check the TPS sensor, also going to look at the gasket below the throttle body for leaks.

It does not indicate "no issues", since you will still see code 12 along with other trouble codes.
Yes I misspoke, I meant I got a code 12, that was the only code flashing.

Sounds like you have a code reader not a scan tool. There is no need for a code reader on that year because a paperclip can do the same thing. To actually read data you need a scan tool. They are few and far between these days for stuff pre-OBD2. Get yourself some electric components, a soldering iron, a serial to USB adapter, a laptop, and you can run WinALDL as a scan tool. It won't show all the sensors that are on a moden car but will show the few that it takes to run that engine.

Default Fixed..

Previous owner had put in an aftermarket temp gauge.

He pulled the temp sensor to put in the gauge.

I replaced the temp sensor idles very low and smooth now after warm up.
