What engine you have? I have been reading up on the 5.3 litre. Yours if you have one will be 1st gen, but mine as a 2013 would be 2nd gen. Differences?

took the van from Illinois all the way to Georgia for some fun in the sun.
went to Savannah, Atlanta, and Helen to ride some twisties in the mountains on the BMW.
heres some pics guys
van with bike waiting to have some fun

here is lovely german town of Helen, appropriate to take a german bike here

and up on the mountains. definitely great drive, roads and conditions were 10/10 van and bike

and one of the bike on the island by savannah

definitely a great drive, a bit long, really wish i sorted out the cruise control, and i wish i had a right hand armrest, tho now I've done some research and ill be getting a center console so that should solve that issue (was gonna get 2 new seats with folding armrests, but extra storage will sure come handy)

got steady 18mpg with it, mostly going about 75-80mph even with a CEL saying its got a bad catalytic converter

your van looks almost identical to mine. I did most of the same things as you did. Like the front end swap, radio, bed liner along the bottom (I did my wheels too). i have the bulk head and stuff like that since it is my work van.

this is the best picture of I have it right now, I should take a few more.

I also bought a cheap roll of LEDs and some JST connectors and added them to the back for more light, probably about $15 total to do.

to be honest, I actually like it. You could spray some plastidip on them to see if you like black, and still be reversible. But personally I would leave them.
