If you have those wires ... those area the trailer wires...
I have already traced them on my van and with
the help of another member here that had the same
issue as myself...confirmed what I am telling you ..
here area more pictures
my wires were Never connected to the fuse block
and the Van was never used as to tow it was
a fleet vehicle .
the End of my wires were damaged when I bought
the Van some one just didnt care...
I have all the parts to complete my hook up including
electric trailer brake controller.
here are more pics
Under the dash my wires traced to this nice tag that
identifies each wire pic 1
Pic 2 showes that it actually goes to the ABS unit
and Pic 3 are the wires in the back next to the hitch

WELL thats a Bummer.... sorry I could not help you any more than I did....
the pics that you sent appears to me that they are the wires...
but then you sent the pic were it looks like a 4 pin connector...
is it possible that someone installed that connector ?
meaning did you pull back the tape and the plastic
protector to see if someone attached that to the existing wires ?

It’s a 2017 with 19k mi. It was a lease vehicle with no hitch on it. The harness is there for the parking sensor option. I have already purchased everything to do the controller and 7pin socket and hitch.... I was just hopeful. My 2002 suburban had all the wires ran. Chevy just has priorities backwards haha. It’s wet out so I’ve been working on tinting the windows in the meantime.

I had a little lifting help, but my hitch went on in 5 minutes, and that included a swig of a tasty beverage..

I don't know if I mentioned this, but I found something distressing on mine. And that was a lack of even a limited slip differential. And this is important if you're going to tow serious weight. So, go to the RPO sticker on the passenger door, and look for "G80". If you don't have it, essentially you have one wheel drive.

I'll be rectifying mine soon.

I'm not doing the entire differential. There are ways to achieve actually a better than limited slip functionality, and keep everything you already have. A device called a locker is installed in the diff, It's a ratcheting device, based on a thing used by drag racers, called a spool. A spool totally locks your axle, causing one tire to slide during turns. A locker unlocks when turning. Spools are not for street use, lockers are. Here's 10 pages of a thread where we discuss this until we were blue in the face.

https://chevroletforum.com/forum/exp...rential-88338/

To give you the short version, the trick is finding out which diff you have. If the '17 is like my '16, there were two choices, a 9.5" and a 10.5". The G80 is only offered on the 10.5". I had a guy in another forum offer to run my VIN at the dealer he worked for, and found that I have the 9.5". I've decided to go with the Powertrax No-Slip locker, just under $500.00. I might be brave enough to install it myself, but my circle of friends are well equipped to do it, and it will only cost me beer and brats.

The last thing I need is to not be able to get up a slippery boat ramp.

That’s great Stan, I appreciate the info. I will definitely look into it. If I have the same rear as you, honestly I’ll probably just go your route of choice. I pull our 6400lbs (dry) travel trailer and we go from pa to Sc. Or up to Northern Maine. The lease roads that I take to get to my drilling rig are sometimes rough, but my 2wd s10 never had a problem. So I believe a van with a locker should be just fine. Next winter I plan on running snow tires all the way around and that should help a lot.

You can do the No-Slip with either diff. You just have to know which diff you have to order the right piece.

The Eaton TrueTrac is a better option. It behaves on the road, and you don't have to sacrifice any drive-ability.
