Default No Fuel pump available

My fuel pump failed on my 2019 express 2500 with 4.3L DI OHV 262 CID. Nationwide dealer search turned up one and it was committed. None even show up in Rockauto, Autozone, PartsGeek, etc. Can’t even locate a legit used one on eBay or a salvage one from local Chicago area yards. Any ideas?

That's direct injection right? Are you talking about the high pressure pump or the one in the tank? The one in the tank if it's anything like others is an assembly with the level sensor and such.

Default Tank fuel pump

It’s the one in the tank. You can find them all the way up to 2014 for the 4.8L. None after that. And from what I’ve been able to piece together they have different pressures from unit to unit, the out feed and return point in different directions, and the electrical plug can be different, so not like they are adaptable. I’m wondering if it’s possible to rehab the old one using parts from an earlier model. I’m guessing everything is fine except the actual mechanical pump

Johnpack, did you ever find one? I am looking for one for my 2020 4.3L. The part number I am looking for is 86786771.

Have you pulled the assembly out? You may be able to replace just the pump itself and not the whole assembly with something aftermarket. Please post some pictures.
