Husband having issues with 2020 6.6 59,000 miles but happens 3 times now
Seems to be a big issue from what we have been researching. Not trying to buy a new vehicle with pricing and interest rate but out of warranty too soon. GM basically hung up on him saying they couldn’t help him.

Did my fist oil change on the 6.6 at 6300 miles. Drained out about 7.5 qts. Seems not too bad?

I got it from Glen Sain in Kennett, Missouri, but they don’t keep a large stock, I just got lucky. I was phoning with dealers in my area for weeks, and one sales guy saw Sain had one in stock before it showed up on the GM websites. My advice is to get friendly with a fleet salesman (most normal lots know ****-all about vans and will just waste your time. My experience anyway.) The fleet guys can see what’s been ordered by other dealerships, and it’s possible to arrange a purchase before or as soon as it hits the lot.

120,000kms and counting GMC 2500 6.6L
just put an order in to a fleet chevy dealer for a 2023 Express with a 6.6L V8.
This engine was introduced by GM io 2020, and I did some research on this engine and it seems that a lot of people are complaining that it burns oil.
I am just trying to find out if owners of this engine see oil burning issues with it in their vans, and how severe.
I am not about to buy a new van so that i can add 1qt of oil every 1000 miles...
What is the reliability of this vehicle if maintenance is kept up to date.
Any feedback highly appreciated.
