pinking engine
Hi,
I have a 2002 chevy express 3500 (rv)18,000 miles imported it back to Ireland 2005,recently while driving i lost power in the engine and it started to make pinking noises and it caused exhaust to rattle,I changed distributor cap,rotor (full of dampness and corrosin),leads and plugs,this worked great for about 300 miles then it came back so itook off distributor cap and it had a small amount of build up on poles,I cleaned it of and it drove fine for 60miles but it came back again checked cap and it had build-up again.
Anybody got any suggestions what would be the problem.
