I have a 2008 Chevy express cargo. I haven’t had a chance to dig around and look for the wires. But do the vans come pre wired for rear speakers? Even though there are no speakers in the cargo area? Any info is highly appreciated. Thanks
For future reference to any future googlers like myself: Yes, kind of.
My 2013 had the passenger side rear door pre-wired for a speaker. The driver side rear door had wiring a pigtail down the D-pillar, but the harness from the D-pillar to the door was missing.

been so long since that post but I found out there are wires ran to the back doors for speakers…. Have I installed them yet? No lol. It’s on my to do eventually list
In hospital today so I've got no pics to show how easy this fits together, first off,go to JY and find about a 2010 vw Jetta with premium sound. This is a true,4 ohm, 10 channel monsoon n amp. Cut both pigtails off leaving enough to solder.Maybe $25. Amazon sells 100 watt,2 channel little. Get 5 for $100.
if you have a 6 door it's easy,. Have not done a slider. Bottom of side doors is the driest place for middle speakers.,you have to build a 4 x 1 x 1 box on other side to hold a couple 10 inch woofers to match. Put some inline breakers for small amps now so you only need access to adjust sound quality.
Use big marine speakers on rear doors and fronts rigging amp same way Remember, you only need a 4 wire input for amp,so a simple, higher quality deck will do with mp3 and BT. Use corrosion proof hardware and have fun
