Default Remote control Module

2002 express 1500 Explorer Conversion. The previous owner had Audiovox security/remote starter system installed. I have looked all over under the dash, under the hood and cannot find the module. from what I have read it should have 2 inline fuses which I think might be blown.

I found the one marked GM on the inside firewall.

Where is the most common place are mounted?

Thanks,
bluegold

Honestly I don't believe there is a "most common" place, but obviously first places to look are under dash just above knee kick panel (below steering column, up under passenger side dash, and under hood.
