Default Stabilitrak in AWD vans?

Hello everyone!

I am curious about how Stabilitrak works on the AWD Express vans. Does the system act as traction control when accelerating from a stop in snow by applying braking to individual wheels to gain traction? Or does Stabilitrak only operate when the vehicle is at speed to correct oversteer/understeer situations?

thank you in advance!
Mac

stabilitrac and traction control are 2 perform different functions but both use the same controller and sensors. the ebcm , pcm and wheel speed sensors are used for traction control which cut engine power and apply individual brake calipers, downshift the trans to stop wheel slip when accelerating.

stability control uses yaw, pitch sensors, steering wheel position sensors, wheel speed sensors to determine if the vehicle is under /oversteering. it will apply individual brakes to correct. new models with trailer sway programming piggy bach the stability system to correct trailer sway.
