Default Unidentified water leakage - help needed

Hi all!

I have a strange water leakage on my 1998 Chevy Express 2500 with the 5.7 engine. A very watery liquid (doesn't seem to be coolant, oil or fuel) runs out just on the rear of the front right hand wheel well. It seems to be running out near what seems to be AC pipes... However it leaks whether the AC is on or not... The coolant level is stable as is engine temp.

Does anyone have an idea of what it could be?
Many thanx for your help

Its condensate from the A/C. Whether its on or not, theres still some in the drain pan. It can slosh around and go down the drain.

It is completely normal. Just condensation, most cars with AC do it.

You may or may not know this, but if you turn the mode to defrost, or defrost\foot, the a\c comes on. nothing you can do to stop it from coming on.
The A\C system dries the air making it defog the windshield easier

Hi

Well that's it I was allways with the defrost ventilation position on! There you have it! I didn't know this, and only noticed it when I was stopped at traffic lights and heard the compressor cut in...

Mystery solved

Thanx all for your input!

PS no wonder in winter I thought the defogger was pretty efficient
