Default Winshield Replacement Instructions for a G10

This is for a:

1991 Chevy G10 Cargo Van.

The original owner installed a new windshield before I bought it. It was installed incorrectly.

There are two seams which lead into the windshield moulding from above. Normally, the van comes with these seams sealed with a factory sealant. The original owner sealed these seams with bondo. Now water leaks in from the windshield whenever it rains.

I looked into it and found a source where I got some of the factory sealant. So I need to remove the windshield, seal the seams, paint the affected areas and reinstall the windshield.

Has anyone ever done this? Does anyone know of any website or youtube video that shows how to do this for my vehicle?

Take it to a proper auto glass shop. Might only cost you a hundred bucks labour or so.....
Needs to be done properly, or you risk a ton.......not worth it.

After looking into it I think you're right. Thanks, Bob.
