Default 06 Chevy cobalt hvac problem

I have no power to blower motor. I have checked all relays and fuses still no power. I have ran a jumper wire and blower runs so its good. my question is if I should have consist power to the actual fan speed switch on the dash and what wire should be positive?

No brown wire orange and black goes straight to blower motor . But neither have power. I ran a jumper straight to orange and it runs. I would say I have a short in the wire but I unplugged the harness at the back of the fan speed switch and no power there either so I didn't no if I should have a consistent power supply there and it turns on with the switch .

my diagram shows brown power feed and orange grd.

with the fans switch on high setting, the orange wire should be direct to grd. Is that the case.

if there is no power on the other wire, check the bcm fuse 3 fuse in the under hood fuse block.
