Transmission(automatic 4 speed); do I check the oil with the engine running or not. I got oil on the dipstick when engine is off, but when running she is dry.
Also, if I need to fill it. where do I put the oil in? tks

 

Transmission should be checked running. If it shows on the stick not running, it (in general) should show a quart high. You put the fluid in the dip stick tube.
