2000 Silverado 1500 4.3L Vortec (Non-Egr?) LOOONG Startup
Hey guys, new here. Be gentle....
I just purchased a 2000 Silverado 1500 2dr 2WD 4.3L Engine 174.000 Miles. It has a very very long startup nearly on every start. Doesn't matter if its after it's been running or if fresh. Turns over around 10-15 times, almost seems like it starts after I release the key, But that could be in my head.
Once it gets Started it runs like a champ. A little Sluggish but it doesn't skip or sputter after it gets warm.
The only code my reader is throwing is the EGR valve low voltage and/or circuit. The thing is, There is no EGR valve and It's obvious to me that the engine has been replaced or something changed.
I'm no mechanic but I am very mechanically inclined. I have tested fuel pressure at the Valve on Fuel line, Pressure spikes to 60, drops slowly not a drop to zero but it leaks down to zero in 30 minutes. Pressure Stays a constant 68-70 on idle. Relays are good, All fuses are good.
I have looked at the Live Data stream on OBD2 and I'm not too clear on what I'm looking at but the O2 sensors seem to be functioning. I did not see anything that didn't look normal from what my limited knowledge serves. Sensor 2 Both at 99.4 % fuel burn. Maybe I'm too detailed, But I'm looking for help. Not wanting to replace 10 Components when In my mind I can diagnose it down to one or two. Please Help me walk through some more in depth troubleshooting so that I can narrow this down.
Thanks in advance!
