Default 2002 Silverado 2500 HD 4x4

Alright so my truck has a 2in torsion key and block lift which makes the front ride extremely rough. I have two ideas to try and fix this but want to run it by you guys. 1 = Idea one is that the upper control arm are bottoming out on the lower frame bump stop, and my idea is to grind that down to lower it allowing more travel. 2 = Idea two is to get 3in 2wd lift spindles (yes putting them on A 4x4) BUT Lower the torsion bars to where the spindles only lift 2in. The truck is already cranked up 2in so I know the angle is fine for the cv axles. The question is if the cv axles will go through a 2wd spindle and mount up. Any input would be appreciated. Please let me know if I'm a nut or this is worth trying. Thank you.
