2007 silverado stereo problem

2007 silverado stereo problem
2007 1500 silverado LTZ 4wd crew cab
Hi,
Well today my Stereo started powering off and on while I was driving.
I tried checking for a short in the power ****, tried hitting big bumps, neither caused it to turn on and off. Tried it with a CD, XM and FM on. Stereo shut off and on. I'm sure its a short I'd just like a few pointers what areas to check.
