Default 350 Small Block "Codes"

Hello,

I have my block vin, date and engine id number.

VIN: 3970010

Date: E256

Engine ID: V05261YX or V0526YX?

I am having trouble decoding it to find out where it came from, year, month, day etc..

If anybody could help me with this or point me in the right direction to a site that would have all this info, would be greatly appreciated.
