99 camaro engine swap

I have a 99 3.8L camaro, I was told that a 3.8L front wheel drive will not work in the camaro. Is this correct?

Well, as long as you "were told". Who's telling you this?

A 3.8 is a 3.8. Consult a large junkyard, they have an interchange manual.
