Default Advice on big block Sled Pulling motor build!

Hey all. New to the Big Block Chevy world (i come from the LSx world). I have a 75 k20 sierra thats set up for sled pulling. I bought the truck turn key with a 454 bored to a 461 (around 600hp @ 7k rpm on q16 fuel) but im not sure what all is done to it internally.

Im looking at getting a base for a new motor for next season. I have access to two 8.1 vortecs but wasnt sure whether or not to carb swap/build one of those, or going with another 454. The class rules are as follows

1. Must be cast block/head
2. Aftermarket intake, exhaust, carbs allowed
3. Must be single carb venturi type
4. Max of 526cubes
5. No fuel injection, alchohol is allowed
6. Oem type trans and tcase

looking for engine combos! Looking for decent torque numbers and high (7500+ rpm) rpm. Must be reliable, truck will NOT be street driven.
