Default Alternater wire ???

Hello chevy fans... 95 S10 blazer, installed new gauges. one problem,,,
the volt meter, according to instructions, does not have a terminal for the wire from the alternator. Gauge only shows batt voltage. Where does the brown wire from the alt go. Isnt this the wire that charges the batt??

Thanks for all your help.

Strange...
You shouldn't have to disconnect anything,
just add a Hot wire to the Meter, from a convenient location. (usually the Accessory side of the Ign Sw)
You may have to run a Ground as well.
Customarily, most Meters (digital or analog) only show Battery Voltage.

Your meter and it's connections, may be quite different from the norm, so...
Copy and Paste or .jpg the directions, or diagram for the Meter.

Maybe then we can help.
