Well, they work great just make sure the clear lens is on the outside. When I bought my first one i didn't realize they had installed the clear protective lens on the inside. Lang story short, I had to buy a whle new helmet.

Alright, what's the business with protective lenses?
FYI I used to do gas and stick welding in past. Now I've a MIG welder and the mask provided is way too dark. There has been a gap of 20+ years or so in my welding experience. All the equipment is different nowadays.
I'd appreciate any information about welding helmets ... since I never had one before.

I got mine from harbor freight a few years ago for $35 i think, its adjustable darkness too

Alright, got one from harbor Freight SKU #46092 ... $49.99 sale price ... auto darkening, adjustable. Tried it today ... very happy right now ...

You can buy replacement clear protective len. If you look close you can see it. It should be on the outside of the self darkening lens.
