2010 silverado, 5.3, ltz
Last year October, bad lifter number 1 cylinder. Replaced all lifters.
March this year, bad lifter number 4 cylinder, Replaced only the one lifter.
One week later now April, again number 4 cylinder intake lifter stuck closed.
WTF is going on with these things.
Bad design, Bad all the way around.
I'm on the end of the rope.

Only thing I can recommend is, soak the new lifters in the oil you are going to use. Let them "absorb" it, then install them. Done this many times in the past, kind of like a prime.

Thanks,
I know that's standard procedure, I can say that I never heard it put that way
. I will let then "absorb"
This time I'm going to soak it, spring up, then spring down, then on it's side and roll it around a bucket a few times.
At this point I will try anything.
