My second attempt as Identification. Follows is what I think I know, what has me stumped is what i believe is the VIN but not even sure of that. Any help and or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

IL is 1966, 1967, 1968 Corvette 427 ( 390 HP ) Manual

Looks to be bored 30 Over

Date Code: 3916321 T

( early 68 427/390 w/2bolt mains )

 

Those numbers come back as:

Year 1968: 427 385, 390, 400, 425, 430, 435, HP 2&4 bolt main engine

It's obvious to me by the piston heads that this is a closed chambered motor, very common in GM muscle cars of that era.
