Computer setup in trans
Does anybody know when the computer setup was first put into transmissions? I am looking at putting a manual trans in my 80 Camaro an want to go with a trans that does not have a computer setup. Would a 5 speed manual work?

I am looking at going 76 Chevy truck 305 V8 an S10 5 speed manual with headers & flow master exhaust an 342 or 373 rear gears. Would this be a good setup for a 80 Camaro T-Top for fair to good MPG & fair to good HP setup for a daily driver?
