Creaking when turning at low speeds.

I have a 2011 Chevy Aveo LT5 Hatch Back. I am the first and only owner. Had car just under 6 years. 118 miles at purchase. 87,691 miles now.
Problem: Over the last few days I have noticed a creaking coming from the front wheel wells when turning at low speeds. This sounds persists for ~5-10 minutes of driving from time of ignition and then stops, regardless of speed.
Question: I'm trying to figure out what this could be. INB4 I know I should take it to get looked at but I am a 23 year old college student paying for my masters program out of pocket and loans. If it's potentially something serious I will take it in but I'm trying to avoid being even more broke with classes starting again in barely a month. Any help or information would be greatly appreciated.
I maintain fluids, oil changes, breaks and plugs myself. Anything else is pretty much beyond me right now. But I am a fast learner.
Thank you in advance for any suggestions/information.
