Default Dexcool??????

I currently have 3 GM vehicles which use Dexcool. I have seen blogs talking about flushing the Dexcool out and replacing with regular antifreeze. Anyone have any input on this topic? Should this be done? I have a 2003 Silverado, 2003 Monte SS, and a 2005 Grand Am. Should I get rid of the Dexcool?

I've changed out the Dexcool in my Malibu to the green stuff. After reading an engineering digest I subscribe to it has been identified that the compound in Dexcool deteriates the silicon found in seals.
The word is the engine for the new Saturn SUV , supplied by Honda has them furious that GM is using Dexcool in that engine.

the problem i read with the dexcoolis its incompatibility with chlorine. found in all utility supplied water. the chlorine causes jellification in the system leading to blockages and overheating and pump failure and etc.

I flushed mine out and ran water through the cooling system with a radiator flush fluid and put in the Prestone universal antifreeze.

If dexcool is such a good product, why are there so many state class action federal lawsuits?
