in dire need if engine stalling advice.
First let me say how much I would appreciate any advice I can get. Thank you.
My friend has an 84 Chevy lazy daze rv, with a 350 in it. The stalling problem appears to happen when its warmed up. It starts fine, goes into the high idle, then kicks down to normal idle. She cannot get the rv to go over speeds of between 25 to 35 mph.
When the gas pedal is depressed, nothing. It will either die, or if you back off the throttle, it may run a bit more. When I drove it, when I hit that point where it wanted to stahl, about 30 mph, I put it in nuetral to let it coast. I shut the key off for a few seconds, restarted it, and I was good to go again, but still no faster than 35, and only until it happened again (which wasn't long)
My initial thought was the fuel filter may be partially clogged, but I don't understand why shutting it off a few seconds, seems to get us going again
.. almost like a reset or something. Still limited to the low speed, and just temporarily.
Sometimes I was able to find that point with the pedal whereby I could go a couple miles before it happened again. Always seemed to have the worst problem with this, when the road had even the slightest incline.
So there it is... I hope I gave enough info for someone to have any ideas of how to proceed.
Thanks in advance

In nuetral, or park what RPM's can you get it to? If you can't get it to only say 2000, it's fuel. Partial clogged filter? Could be, replace it, that takes that out of the equation if it continues.
