Default Fuel Filter

Just changed my fuel filter tonight on my 2002 Chevy
Silverado 1500 V8 5.3L single cab but did not pull out the relay and let the
engine die and the battery was disconnected. It started
up nice and idled for about 5 minutes but once I took it
down the block it sputtered then died. Now it is not want to stay started. Any ideas?

Hi Thank you for replying, yes it was installed with the arrow facing the front of the truck. Installed it because the truck was idling low then bogging out and dying. Fuel pressure was fine and in reverse was running with a more normal idle still lower than normal but didn't die. Was told by three mechanics it sounded like the filter needed to be replaced

Did you check the new filter to see if there are any leaks that could result in loss of pressure?

could be a number of things, I would check fuel pressure and volume. If you have access to a scantool would be very helpful
