Default good substitute for vacuum hoses

What is a good substitute for cracked and broken vacuum hoses

For the smaller ones you could use tygon hoses. It's commonly used on small engine fuel lines, found at lawnmower shops. It's usually yellow. I don't think I would want them close to an exhaust pipe though.

what's wrong with replacing it with regular vacuum line? They sell it at all auto parts places. If you don't consider it strong enough I suppose you could use automotive fuel line. It comes in several different sizes.
