have 10 different engine codes need advice
I have a 94 Camaro z28. I bought the car a few weeks ago. For the first couple days not a problem with it. Then when driving at highway speeds after couple minutes the check engine light comes on and doesn't go of until I slow down and stop. 2 weeks ago the positive wire that goes to the starter rubbed against the AC clutch and started a fire I caught it right away lucky the only bad was new positive wires and negative wires due to how they were ran. but back to my codes my computer is throwing 10 different codes

In fact, your codes are rather impossible.

It was a innova but have never had a problem with then before I have looked in to it and so far I think I need to have my ECM flashed or get a new one reprogrammed I am just worried that I had problems before the fire. But the fire caused something like a reverse polarity type deal with the computer

Interesting. I just bought the same brand of scanner to diagnose the MIL light coming on and got the same set of codes.
I pulled the PCM Bat fuse for about five minutes, replaced the fuse, started the car, let it go to close loop, shut down and rescanned. Two of the codes dropped out (i need to check which ones) but 51 (prom checksum error) persists along with over voltage. However, i monitored the voltage the whole time with my fluke 87 and didnt not see it peak above 14v and change.
The codes arent adding up.
I checked for bad ground to PCM but didnt find it -- good voltage from battery + to PCM casing.
I pulled checked voltage on the MAP sensor found 5.01, 14.x & what looked like ground. This tells me the PCM getting power and the output power is solid at +5v.
I dont have any tools to checksum or reprogram the EEPROM. Anyone have some ideas?
