Default Help, 2000 chevy cavalier problem!!

I was on the freeway yesterday and all of a sudden my car had no power at all! The electrical was all working just fine and dandy but soon the power steering went out too and the car died and wouldn't start up again. I tried a new battery but no such luck. If anyone has any ideas what the problem is please get back to me asap, I have to get my car off the road today. thanks

Hmm that's weird.

When it died did it buck or jerk or just die all of a sudden? When you tried to restart it did it turn over or didn't do anything at all?
