Acquired a Chevy 350 from wife of my friend who passed away. I must admit I've been a Pontiac Guy, Have had Engine for over a year and decided to get a Chevy to drop engine in to, then every time I drive my friend will still be with me, sorry still a little Emotional.It was rebuilt not long ago. Need help on your expertise on parts used, cast iron, Forged, Quality, rough idea on CR Ratio, HP, if combo works together??????? PLEASE SHOOT ME STRAIGHT if any good or not, has Sentimental Value only. .Any help would be grateful, I guess it would go in many chevy models ( Is it worth getting car to honor my friend) Thank you Basic engine picture, Block 3970010

Number on Head, seems to be same on other side except j48 is j??8.
Rod and piston, any good?,
