Default knock sensor

<script>document.write(pgdCode(" Friend has a 1995 Buick park ave with 3800 series II.
Engine light keeps coming on, had it scanned at a local shop. Came up as knock sensor. The shop put a new knock sensor in, the shop cleared the code. 2 days later car started ******* power light came back on brought back same code knock sensor.

The guy at the shop said, I think you need a new pcm spark plugs and wires coil packs. He put all that stuff in same problem.

What it causing the knock sensor code it’s not pcm spark plugs and wires coil packs. Did not do anything.

Hi stcspiderman,

Welcome to the Chevy Forums.

Are you sure you only have one knock sensor on our engine? How does the shop know they replaced the right one?
