Default left brake light blinker keep going out

Hi i have an 84 k10 truck. I found that my left blinker didn't work so i bought a new blinker fuse. It fixed the problem. its been a few days and it went out again but now my brake light doesn't work either. Both hazards work so its getting power. I also tried changing the bulb and nothing changed. has any one had the same problem and found where to fix it.

Thanks dillon

Its pretty likely that the bulb housing itself needs replacement. They have a grease inside to help with a good connection, and sometimes when they get really old the connection goes in and out almost like a short with a small spark, over and over again and it will burn the lamps out quickly.

you can get a replacement pretty much at any parts store and wire it right in place with the proper weatherproof splices

I had a similar problem with my turn signals not working and it ended up being a relay that was going out. You might want to find where the relay for that system is and try replacing it or possibly it is just loose.

good luck

I would agree with the socket being the problem. I have seen this many times and the socket was to blame.
