Hey y'all This is nash from NC. I have a '99 chevy Venture. My Dashboard light will not come on at night. I just noticed this morning that the tail light are out too! It happens off and on. I have had my Mechanic look at it several times. of course it is in the day time so it has not happend while he looked at it. I notice if I open my door to get in the "Warning Bell" comes on super fast. Of course when i get in with no bell it seems fine. Any thoughts? This is driving me crazy. Not to mention dangerous with no tail lights

 

Sounds like an electrical short to me. I am not an electrician but that would be my first thought. Especially since it is intermittent.

 

it's most likely a burnt out fuse. if all the lights gone out then it indicates either a broken wire on the instrument panel or a loose connection to the imnstrument panel. Driving without tail lights is dangerous especially at night.
