Default Looking for other carburetor options.

What can I say, 1986 Chevy c20, quadrajet, stock 350 sbc, huge hesitation when pushing the accelerator, so Id like to get rid of that, I want more power and would like to eventually turn it into a full blown drag strip sleeper, But this carburetor has got to go, is a Holley #4777 double pumper a good way to go about it?

You are wanting to put a double pumper carb on a 350? First you need the fuel pump and associated fuel lines, second a standard 350 cid can't stomach more than 750 cfm. Most people condem a rochester because they don't understand them, great carb when done right. Matched metering rod's, ports ect. Throw a Holley on it, or a Carter.

Is putting a double pumper on a 350 sbc a bad thing? Can you elaborate on assocated fuel lines and pump. This Quadrajet also has vacuum secondaries, so basically I'm driving around a 375 cfm 2 barrel unless I open those secondaries up, right?

More or less. I never liked the Quadrajet. Its too complicated with too many parts, hard to tune or overhaul. I'd go with a Carter, or better a Holley suited to your engine,
like Kevin said..

So this Holley #4777 wouldn't be suited for my engine? If so what would be a carburetor that would be suited for it.

Probably a Holley #4160 IMO. A Carter AFB would work too.
