Loose Distributor?

Default Loose Distributor?

Should I be able to turn my distributor by hand on a Chevy 400 engine? I cant find the hold down bolt.

No (not easliy anyway). There should be a clamp with bolt that holds it to the intake manifold.

Thanks. The clamp is either missing or I just cant feel it.

There is going to be a threaded bolt hole for the hold down bolt on the distributor clamp.

Something tells me that there isnt a distributor clamp. This truck was pieced together by last owner. She's a back-woods beater.
