Default oxygen sensor

Hello folks! Can someone tell me how many oxygen sensors does a 2000 Silverado 4.8 V8 engine have?

one on each end of the catalyic converter, so 4

Yup, Kevin is right on the trolley with this one- your Silverado 4.8 has a total of 4 oxygen sensors: 2 pre-converter sensors and 2 post-converter sensors.

For a more explicit idea of their location, they are depicted as ref #8 (pre-converter sensors) and #6 (post-converter sensors) in this diagram:

if the o2 sensors are starting to go bad will the car have ruff idle?
