i have a 1986 c20 suburban with 454 and i am wanting to remove smog gear to make engine cleaner looking is it safe to do this and is it legal

 

depending were you live and if they make you take emission test yearly not smart and legal ,too much to take off and make it run right bad year range for start of emissions and computer's . one thing affects another wear do you stop ,you would have to go back to pre emission trucks . usually if it came out with it from the factory ,it has to stay and work .

 

so i have a new edlebrock carb and i am gonna get a new set of headers would it be ok to take it off then and could you tell me if my suburban has a computer
