My friend has this transmission in her truck, and niether of us know much about chevy's tranny's. Do these tranny's last long? are they durable? can they handle 300-350hp and still be reliable?

any help on this'll be great, thanks.

 

If it is the 700r40 I say good luck, I would try something else. Depending on what you are doing. I went thru 3 of them behind a 6.2 it seems they go about 80,000 then go south. Maybe I had a bad builder. Hope that helps.

 

that does change things, as far as i know this one has close to 300k on it...so i'll keep an eye out for another one

If you have over 300k sounds like i was hosed. I would keep doing what you are doing. Are you running synthetic? I was not

 

I actaully have no clue, the truck was bought as is bout 6 months ago, and bout a month ago the snow melted enough we could start working on it, i havent even seen this thing move under its own power yet.
