My daughter has a 2012 Cruze and is having problems with the theft deterrent system. It has a new battery, we have done the whole touch the cables together and yesterday, $300 later at the dealer we replaced her key and had it programmed. She drove off thinking she was safe & went to the next town to the mall. And, sure enough, the problem happened again. She lives 6 hours away and is terrified now to drive the car even though the dealer said the FOB replacement solved the problem. How to we (affordably) repair this so I don't have to go up there and help her get a new car?
