I have a 1988 Chev 3500 extended cab long bed with a 454 engine, TH400 trans and an NP208 transfer case. I want to remove the TH400 trans with the torque converter and replace it with a TH400 HD trans and torque converter from a 1986 Chev Suburban with a 350 engine, TH400 HD trans, and NP208 transfer case. Will the 1986 TH400 HD trans and torque converter from the Suburban bolt up to my 1988 3500 454 flex plate, bell housing and NP208 transfer case? Are there any modifications required or would this just be a plug and play swap?
