Guess who has 2 thumbs and loosened my distributor clamp by about half of a turn when trying to set my timing? A little background on my Chevrolet pickup truck. The bumper hits me on about upper thigh. So to reach the distributor requires a feat of acrobatics that my body is no longer capable of performing. As I am stretching across the engine bay, laying my belly on top of the radiator. loosing the distributor clamp I feel the clamp to fall off the base of distributor and the distributor lifting up ever so gently. As the engine sputtered to a stop. I ungraciously shimmied down onto the ground. Closed the hood down gently. And calmly walked back into the house to save this for another day.
