Question VVT Solenoid "Dropped A Spring Seat"?

Anyone seen this before? Pulled the VVT solenoids for replacement and found the intake looks to have lost a seat. I see it nowhere in the bore of the head. Went ahead and installed the new solenoids and all is working normal. Can I hopefully assume the seat has found its way to the bottom of the pan? Never have had one of these engines apart so not familiar with the oil drain passageways.

Replaced the solenoids to cure P0010 and P0014 codes. Continuity checks showed one was open and the other measured right in the middle range at about 10Ω.

*EDIT* - Should have stated this is a 2009 Malibu 2.4L
