This year i have bought a 1986 Chevrolet Camaro Berlinetta. It had a v6 but the previous owner has put in a v8 engine. The problem is he could not tell what specific engine it was. So if anyone can tell me that would be great. Also at the top left corner in the enginebay i think there is missing something. Maybe someone with more experience than me know what is missing.
It's a Small Block Chevy (SBC). It is hard to say what size. There will be numbers cast in the side of the block. You can research those numbers and it will give you the size and year. It appears to be an older block.
The open line on the top left is for the air conditioning system. You will see another open line about 12 inches below and that is also for the AC. It had AC with the previous engine.
