Question 06 A/C Issues

I have a 2006 Impala LT 3.9L, my issue is the air conditioning not blowing up to my standards. It blows cool not cold. I also think that the passenger side is not as cold as the drivers side. The car is under extended warranty (which does not cover the a/c recharge), but will cover any other issues.

Anyone have any ideas??

I was thinking the same thing since I have had some friends with that issue. The problem is the dealer wants to start with a re-charge. (Since I have to pay for that and not under warranty) Can they check the system to make sure it has a full charge? Just test it first??

They can look at the pressures and tell if it is fully charged.

Did your cooling problems start after replacing the battery?
If so try this:
Key off, disconnect the battery for at least 30 seconds, reconnect the battery, turn the ignition on, DO NOT TOUCH the a/c controls, wait at least one minute (I generally wait 3-4 minutes), turn the key off for at least 10 seconds, start the engine and confirm repair is complete.
