06 Impala SS no overdrive
I bough a 06 impala ss with only 127k miles on v8 engine, At first we thought it was a mild shifting issue. It would take a minute or so for overdrive to catch. turns out supposedly it wont go in to OD doesnt hard shift or grind gears it just revs a bit before gear catches. Could it be an easy fix or do we stick with saving up to get it rebuit its an 4l65e hd trans. Parts will be 450 plus cost to have it rebuilt I been waiting a year and am eager to finally drive it. Its my second impala, my first a 2000 3.8 liter was killed by lightening in 2013 n I miss it

read this somewhere
I read apparently the trans in the 06 rarely makes it to 100k and if its rebuild without upgrades it will die again I think it's got to do with it not being able to handle the power. So if you get yours rebuilt like it looks like i am going to have to do research to be sure you do the upgrades
