Default 1963 chevy impala flashing

I have a 1963 chevy impala and I have a problem with the back brake lights flashing when I turn the ignition switch to the start postion. When I unplug the turn signal harness that goes into the steering wheel it stop blinking. I have put a universal fuse box with all new wires through out the whole car. What do you'll think makes it do this and how do I fix it? I replaced the turn signal switch before when I could not get the right side turn light to work. Please help me it's about to drive me crazy.

sounds like a "ground" problum. but since you have changed all the wiring to aftermarket you might have a realy tough time.

Has it been doing this since you rewired everything?
