Default 2001 Impala DRL problem

Last week I was driving before dawn and my running lights malfunctioned. After about 10 seconds, they came back on. I drove another 10 miles and the same thing happened. I returned to my town and visited with a repair shop (small town). They contacted a GM serviceman, and he said that the Multi-function Switch was probably bad. Since this problem, I have not seemed to have a problem.
Questions...
1. Are the DRL's the inside or outside pair of lights?
2. If I have to replace the Switch, what would be the approximate labor cost?
3. What would be the average cost of the Switch itself?
Thank you for any information that you can give me.

Default RE: 2001 Impala DRL problem

The DRL's are the highbeams, the inside lights. Check under the dash near the brake pedal for a connection. If the connector is loose your Daytime Running Lights will malfiuction. This is what happened to me.

Good Luck
